Rob aims to equip students with the knowledge required to create their own music. Students will gain an understanding of the fretboard, scales, chords, rhythm, finger picking, among other fundamental concepts.

Rob is a strong believer in this simple philosophy from this legendary guitarist and bases his mentoring methods on bringing the best out of all his students.

Rob is a seasoned guitarist who recognises that each student is unique. The mentoring methods will vary according to how the student learns. His aim is to mentor the student with what they would like to learn, not necessarily what he wants them to learn.
Having played the guitar for over 20 years, Rob draws on his past experience as a student and acknowledges that learning the guitar can sometimes seem confusing. His specialties include gospel, rock, contemporary, blues, jazz, punk, folk, alternative etc. He wants his students to enjoy what they are doing and to be able to play all kinds of music.
